Music has always been an important part of worship at Twelfth Avenue.  It plays a vital role in weekly worship services by inspiring us to give glory and honor the Lord.  Our goal is to increase the faith of our worshipers by offering to God the most worthy sacrifice we have to offer.  “How often, making music, we have found a new dimension in the world of sound, as worship moved us to a more profound alleluia!” (“When in our Music God Is Glorified”, stanza two).

Twelfth Avenue is proud to base their worship and music not on style or personal tastes, but on scripture, and on the talents that God has given the congregation.  We strive to put our selfish ambitions behind us, and God’s will before us.

Twelfth Avenue is a member of the Christian Reformed Church, we therefore adhere to the Reformed tradition of worship.  We strive to be a church that glorifies God in everything we do.  Thus, our services are filled with reverence and awe, in the knowledge that we are in the presence of the creator of the universe.

Senior Choir

Under the direction of Mrs. Idelle Wagner, the Senior Choir leads worship in two morning services per month, holiday services (Easter, Christmas Eve, Ascension Day, Thanksgiving) and occasional evening services.  The choir is composed completely of volunteers and is open to all adults high school age and above.  Its repertoire spans from the sacred choral music from before the CRC’s beginnings, to local contemporary works.
