Pastor Ralph and Verna Baker have moved to the First and Main retirement community in Wyoming. They are doing well there after Verna was treated for a fall.

Alida Smeda's blood clot are dissolving. Her strength is increasing because of her dialysis. She has another dialysis treatment today and then she will return home.

Please pray for Jake Bouwman who has been diagnosed with cancer.

Kestra Brouwer will be having more tests and will be starting twice a month chemo treatments starting on June 6.

Pray for a good turnout at the Fishing Derby being held at 5 to 8 p.m. today at Grand River Park. Please bless the kids with a good fishing experience.

Alida Smeda was hospitalized at St. Mary's Mercy Hospital for a blood clot in her leg. She is on blood thinning medication to break up her clot. Because of her blood clot, Alida was given a dialysis port yesterday and has now begun dialysis.

Tob Visser was admitted to Metro Hospital this past week due to afib with his heart and low blood pressure. Tob's condition has improved and he hopes to return home today.

We will participating in a combined service of the Jenison CRCs at Baldwin Street CRC at 5 p.m. Rev. John Witvliet, Sr. will be preaching for this Memorial Day weekend service.

Classis Georgetown meets this afternoon at 5 p.m. at Messiah CRC in Hudsonville. The theme of the meeting is "Empowering Worship." Worship planners and leaders are invited to come to the meeting at 7 p.m. where Rev. Joyce Borger, the director of Worship Ministries of the CRC, will be sharing a presentation on worship and hospitality with small group discussion. Pastor Mark Bennink, Elder David Holkeboer, and Deacon Jack Buys will be the delegates representing 12th Avenue Church.

On this Ascension Day will be having a service this evening in our sanctuary at 7 p.m. The Choir will sing a couple of anthems. Pastor Mark will share a message on "Our Great High Priest" from Hebrews 4:14-16. The congregation is invited to join the Choir up front to sing Handel's "Messiah" at the close of the service. Let's give praise to our great High Priest who has ascended into the heavens!

The proposal to remove the steeple was passed by a strong majority vote at the congregational meeting yesterday evening.  The work will begin this summer.

Tonight at 7 p.m. we will have a congregational meeting in the basement to discuss and vote on the proposal to remove the steeple due to structural concerns. Council President Dave Baatenburg will chair the meeting and Building Restoration Inc. President Blair Bates will share a presentation on the steeple's condition and will answer questions about the proposal. Pray for the Lord to guide us with this significant decision.

Al Buitendorp, Peggy Camiller's father, had successful heart surgery yesterday at Spectrum Butterworth Hospital and didn't need to have a pacemaker put in.  He was released from the hospital after his surgery.

Al Buitendorp, Peggy Camiller's father, is having heart surgery today to have a pacemaker put in.  Pray that his procedure goes well today.

Ruth Schepers continues to suffer from more compression fractures in her back at Sunset.

Pray for the Mahat family, the second family we sponsored from Nepal, who are having difficulty adjusting to their recent move to Kentucky.
