Harry Bosscher has been put under hospice care at Sunset. Pray for the Lord’s grace for him.

Jack Postma, the former principal at Unity Christian High School, passed away from an infection after battling cancer. Jack’s visitation is today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at Unity Christian High School. Jack’s memorial service will be held tomorrow, November 1, at 6:30 p.m. at Messiah CRC in Hudsonville. Please pray for the Lord to comfort Jack’s wife Eleanor, their children and grandchildren, the rest of Jack’s loved ones, and the Unity Christian community.

Rene’ Baatenburg’s mom, Sylvia Van Zee, has now been placed under hospice care due to more tiredness, weakness, and pain. She is still able to be quite independent including driving to the assisted living facility where Rene’s dad is now living.

This morning we welcome our missionaries with Wycliffe Associates, Rick and Marilyn Fodey, to our church. Rick will be preaching God’s Word to us this morning. After the service, you are invited to join the Fodeys and the rest of the church family at a potluck in the church basement.

Tonight at 5 p.m. we will have our evening worship service on the south side of the sanctuary. Pastor Mark will be sharing a message on “Seeing Bartimaeus” from Mark 10:46-52.

Merdal Feenstra has returned home from Spectrum Health Rehab after rehab therapy. Please keep Merdal in prayer as she continues to deal with health issues.

On Saturday Jack was put on a ventilator. Pray that the doctors will be able to determine the source of Jack’s infection so he can get the treatment he needs. Pray also for his wife Eleanor and his children who have come to be with him.

This afternoon at 4:30 p.m. Classis Georgetown meets at Alive Ministries for its fall meeting. During the business meeting between 5 and 6 p.m., Pastor Mark will be sharing a presentation on “The Blessings of 12th Avenue” before the Classis votes to approve our church’s decision to disband. Congregation members are invited to come not only for the presentation and vote, but also for dinner at 6 p.m. and the discussion of our churches afterwards.
